I have a feeling he will come up with something truly great one of these days. When we all think he is long gone that active imagination of his is going to click into something awesome.

his latest movies weren't that good at all, but the guy takes a lot of unwarranted criticism from other in people in his field. I think there is some bitterness toward him because he's Indian.

Oh, come on.
I really don't think his ethnicity plays into this one bit.

Not all of his movies are great, but he's the only guy I can refer to as Shamalamalamalama so it's all good.

Been a downward spiral for me since The Sixth Sense. Loved that movie. Thought Unbreakable was pretty good, but could have been better. Signs was mediocre. The Village was complete garbage. Based on the pattern, I'm not even going to bother with Lady in the Water.

You can tell he is trying too hard to recreate the "twist" effect that The Sixth Sense had.

He WAS overrated after The Sixth Sense, but less so recently, since none of his other movies met with nearly as much critical acclaim or commercial success. Actually I liked Unbreakable more than Sixth Sense, but all the rest of his movies have been pretty lame. I thought the Village wasn't as bad as people said, but Signs was much much worse.

I'll just say he hasn't lived up to the promise of his first movie, the Sixth Sense. It's been a steady progression into suckdom.

Sixth Sense and Unbreakable were really good. All the rest were crap. I really don't understand why ANYONE thought that Signs, The Village, or The Lady in the Water were any good.

I think Signs is kind of a microcosm of Shamalamadingdong's current movie portfolio. Really interesting at the beginning with a good build up then starts losing direction in the middle until it all falls apart into crap at the end.

I think all his movies are textbook art school dropout cliches with uninteresting characters. His last few movies were laughable...
