Is Korean food the worst smelling food?

i'm korean and i LOVE korean food, but it has to be the worst smelling food to non koreans.

is there any food that smells worst to non natives than korean food?

I like the smell of korean food.

I think the foulest smelling food is some of the stuff that comes out of the Middle East.

some foods are, kimchee and kimchee-chigae come to mind.

some of the other soups and stews smell like normal soups to me. barbecued meats like kalbi smell gooooood to me 🙂

kimchee, QoChoJang, ChungGukChang, ChangAhChee . . .

You have got to be kidding me. What Korean dishes smell stink? Filipino on the other hand, yes. There is this one Filipino type of fish, it's really small, it smells like they're actually frying feces, I swear to God. Then there is this really messed up sauce they put on their dishes too. It's like the sauce from saved fish bones and all kinda weird crap. It's sooooooo nasty. Korean smells GOOOOOOOOOOOOD.

ROFL. Kim chee doesn't smell stink. LOL. Weird how some people find kim-chee stink yet I found it delicious and mouth watering.

i love korean food and yes, i do think it smells amazingly good, but when you wrap this pack this stuff up to take on vacation, only the rankest part of the smell comes thru. also, when you are in a hotel room (marriot at Niagra falls) the smell that comes out of the room isn't so good.

I never noticed Indian food being stinky. My experience is limited to two local Indian/Nepalese restaurants though so I may not have experienced "real" Indian. I worked with a Korean and his office where he ate lunch ALWAYS smelled bad.

Russian is pretty bad. I remember some chick brought in some fermented fish stuff for her late lunch at work and left it open in the breakroom. MAN, that was foul!

The worst smelling food I've ever smelt (yes this is worse than Limberger) was the Korean students food in the dorms. They would always take lettuce in a bowl with water and microwave the $hit out of it. Damn it stank.

any culture that has lots of fermented stuff in their cuisine (philipino fish sauce, korean kimchi, chinese fermented eggs, etc) will have smelly foods. indian food as you get it in restaruants is relatively non odiferous, but they have all these "pickles" that are as rank as korean kimchi stuff.

i love indian food btw.
