I had a sandwich once in which the "bun" was made out of pizza slices. It wasn't too bad. I've also seen, but never eaten, a hamburger that had its "bun" made out of 2 grilled cheese sandwiches.

Huh, I thought it was an actual sandwich. We have them here, but I haven't tried one. Now I feel obligated to.

Reports are that they're hiring thugs to forcefully shove 3 of them a day down the throats of every american citizen. Makes sense, because Americans are too smart and health-conscious to touch one if KFC merely "offered" them on the menu.

I always find it funny with all these people. No one forces you to eat fast food. People choose to eat fast food.

Stupid rants like the one in that blog always remind me of this quote:

Of all tyrannies, a tyranny exercised for the good of its victims may be the most oppressive. It may be better to live under robber barons than under omnipotent moral busybodies. The robber baron's cruelty may sometimes sleep, his cupidity may at some point be satiated; but those who torment us for our own good will torment us without end, for they do so with the approval of their own conscience." ---C. S. Lewis

Wow, the writing in that blog post is awful.

one "sandwich" adds up to well over a one thousand calories, close to what medical experts consider more than half the recommended total daily calorie intake

What the hell does, "close to more than half of" mean? Who writes like that? Sounds to me like it means, "less than half", but my way is much less alarming to people who don't know how to parse English.

Since when is it a conspiracy that low-level customer service phone reps don't know all about limited promotions that are happening in small areas? Sheesh. The poor guy on the phone is being paid $10/hour to forward complaints and answer nutrition questions by reading off a chart; are you really surprised that he doesn't know every last intimate detail of a limited-time promotional being test-marketed in friggin' Rhode Island?

"The bun is neither meat nor cheese."

Jack in the Box had the right idea, but they didn't capitalize on it. KFC picked up the ball.

Fox News reported that it is available in Rhode Island and Nebraska.

Rhode Island and Nebraska? Wha? Is this some sort of state-themed "small and sparse" roll-out, as in the nutrition vs. calorie calculus is both small and sparse?
