I'm tired of not being able to find any files I'm looking for . Sure , if you want a new song it's as good as had but if you want anything older , forget it !

I just checked Kazaa ....................... 3.5 Million users / 4.0 million gig of files / 600 million files ................... Also , most of these files are 64-128kbps TRASH !

What this tells me is that almost everyone has the same NEWER files . Is'nt anyone interested in older music ?

Is Kazaa the best choice ? ............................ I'll probably end up paying for the songs I download in the future which is totally fine by me as I would pay $30. mth. for what I want .

What connection do you have to the Internet? I have a cable modem and achieved 120k/sec on some downloads the other evening. I was impressed w/Kazaa.

Kazaa is a HORRIBLE application...following the typical MS trend of BLOATED BEYOND CAPACITY !!!

I've never gotten 120KB/sec with Kazaa, period. I usually don't even go past 30KB/sec. My connection supports 170KB/sec and is fairly constant.

The speeds you get on Winmx is mind boggling. Sure it will take some time to get to the right kind of people but once it does, you can keep dling stuff at a rate of 130Kbs. I have dled crazy amounts of movie....umm trailers :)P to McPhreak) Winmx is real good for music too(at least popular music). Rare Mp3's may be hard to find.

To start off, I have a ~70 gig music collection made up of all sorts of electronica genres - trance/house/chill/d+b, + movie sound tracks, video game soundtracks, a little smooth hip hop thrown in here and there a huge ass collection of Metallica/Rage Against the Machine to top it off, plus some more I'm sure I'm forgetting...

and I've never installed Kazaa or any form of that ad-driven hard drive-raping system-overpowering piece of trash.

I'll admit, the first 6 months or so of using WinMX were pretty rough, but while back it started getting a wholllle lot easier... learned about the Napigator servers, which expanded my search results exponentially, learned how to set up transfer deals with other members, basically learned the ropes.. and WinMX 0wnz Kazaa so hardcore it's humerous that it's even up for debate. I want decent-speed reliable transfers of any and all music at 192k+, always. And WinMX nearly always delivers. I gave up trying to debate it long ago - all the 13 year old girl Kazaa n3wbs can stick to their adware trash. I'll just listen to extremely high-quality music

My program of choice for music is blubster, very good and the community is expanding. I can find most of the songs I want at 192 kbs, and I can find PLENTY of older music.

My fave is a new file sharing service with an emphasis on
full albums and underground genres (soul, electronica, hiphop, indie)

I'll refrain from mentioning it by name to prevent it from
becoming Kazaa with 50 milion Limp Biscuit and Britney Spears singles

But it if thats what you're into, you should be able to find it if you seek it.

You make it sound like a cheesy chinese martial art movie :p

everything i try on kazaa trickels in at 2K/s. I can keep pounding "find more sources..." and I might luck out and got something fast.
