Is Kayak.com becoming useless?

This is the third time now that I've been deceived by Kayak.com's search results. Kayak shows flights for a certain price and certain itinerary, but when I click on the sites (Orbitz, Cheaptickets, etc.) to book, it says that the price and itinerary are no longer available.

Anyone else experienced this? If so, any other alternative Kayak like sites that actually show valid itineraries and the same rates?

Yes. If it is not listed for that price like you say, the seats will magically be unavailable.

yes, always over priced, cheaper to go direct which makes no sense!
