Finally got out to the range last night with the Mrs. to fire our new acquisitions for the first time. Ladies shoot free on Tuesdays so all the better.
Started off shooting the M&P 9mm
Great gun. Not much recoil at all. Both wife and I were very pleased with it (other than the stiff magazine that made my thumbs nearly fall off loading it).
Then came the real fun. The 11-87P. Range would not let me use buckshot - had to use slugs. Sucks because I have about 150 rounds of buckshot.
Before we switched over to the shotgun, we both went outside and popped in ear plugs under our earmuffs. Turned out to be a good call. Every time I or my wife squeezed that trigger, people were jumping in the lanes next to us.
Didn't think the recoil was all that bad actually. But I guess I had it seated wrong for a couple shots, because by the time I got home I had a nice bruise on my shoulder area.
