There's no hope for any eastern team to win the championship, unless the west team loses their PF (Duncan or Nowitzski). Martin is too short to defend either of them and an eastern team does not have enough weapons to play with any western team. If you notice, the west teams have to defend every player on the court because they can all score. On the east, they can not defend a guy and go double or triple someone else and still be able to rotate when the ball is passed.
martin is 6'11" and can outjump either of the pf mentioned.
people forget that he played Center in college and was a dominant center at that.
martin is the shortest 6'11" player i know tho. i think it's his athleticism that makes people not see his height.
huh? he uses another measurement system from other 6'11" players? ...anyway he is pretty good defensively but needs to develop more low post moves...right now he has a thug offensive game...pretty ugly too...
None of the analysts think so and they've been in the game how long ?
Maybe it's you that has the ugly game.
uh...ok..no ones talking about me, retard...and which analysts? the YES ones, who might as well be wearing NJ jerseys in the booth?
Hahahah, so true.
Those YES announcers are so damn biased and make it blatantly obvious as well.
The little short weasel announcer annoys me, but at least they got rid of the old guy that used to shout out those ridiculous lines worse than Bill Waltons.
Another annoying person is the Nets home PA announcer who yells out "Jason Kidd" when he makes a dazzling play <-- you have to watch Nets home games to know what I'm talking about... he sounds like he's constipated or something.
Anyway, Martin is all defense, all hops.
No offense, except for his
offensive fouls when he tries to drive to the basket

And he really needs to stop showing his chest tattoo after he dunks... not like he even does anything... it's Kidd always setting him up.
Back to the topic.
No, Kidd is not overlooked. He's regarded as the TOP PG in the league by many experts.
Everyone calling the game knows that he's the Nets heart and soul.
The opposing team knows they have to try and contain him.
They're defensive focus is to stop Kidd from creating offense and leading fast breaks.
Jason Kidd is THE BEST point guard in the league, by far.
Gary Payton? The next closest.
Mike Bibby/Bobby Jackson? Nupe.
Tony Parker? Maybe in 3-5 years... possibly...?
Stephon Marbury? Stevie Francis? Jay Williams? Nupe, nupe, nupe.
