i wear alot of dress shirts, but i wouldnt wear them everyday because that would wear out them out.

All that comes to my mind is the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Episode "The Cuff-Link Caper". I have no idea why I remember that name, or that episode.
 
Good luck with those. You'll be polishing them FAR more than you'll be wearing them.

Stay away from pure silver or brass for stuff like that.
