C&O CANAL NW , July 1. A man saw a pigeon that appeared to be drowning in the canal, then stripped down to his underwear and jumped into the water to save it. The pigeon, which appeared uninjured, was taken to the D.C. shelter for observation.

After much googling, I have concluded that it is not illegal to shoot pigeons in California, provided that you are not releasing them from a cage (a "pigeon shoot") and also provided that they do not have a collar on their leg (meaning they are someone's homing pigeon).

I say bust out the pellet gun and have some fun.

They do that here in Ft. Worth for the grackle (sp?) birds. It's funny to watch them shoot up in the air, all the birds scatter, then land right where they were...

I don't know, some people are worse than pigeons. I've never had a pigeon enter my garage and rob my house.

I wouldn't kill a pigeon that isn't bothering me, but that guy would definitely be a corpse.

Well we do have a deal with the pigeons ya know. They get out of the way of our cars, we look the other way on the statue defications. Squirrel on the other hand...well, we have no deal with THEM!
