Is it wrong to drive while high?

it's not wrong or immoral per se... those definitions change with each person! lol

in my experience, i have never had a problem controlling a motor vehicle of any sort while intoxicated in the aforementioned way...

i might have had some trouble finding my keys a few times...

There is:
just smoked a bowl high; good to drive
ate a pan of brownies with a quarter of hash two hours ago high; probably not so good to drive
 
I don't know about being "immoral", but it is probably dangerous to other drivers.

That said, so is driving while sleepy or under the influence of just about any medication, legal or illegal.

I don't think most people realize that they could be charged for DUII if they're hopped up on cold meds.

Of course it never happens. Dunno. It's a grey area for me.

If there is right/wrong, certainly putting others in danger falls under the "wrong" category.

 
I was once high in a car with my friend (also high) was driving. We were in a drive thru (go figure). He hit the gas after we got the food when, suddenly, a little girl ran out in front of the car. He slammed the brakes and didn't hit her. If he woulda hit her, regardless if it was our fault, it WOULD have been our fault cause we were high. Never driven high again after that.

Except it was a little black girl on a bike in that commercial. In my case, it was some little Mexican brat in front of a Burger King (cause Mexican parents know how to eat healthy). I can say that cause I'm Mexican. Immunity 😀

I didn't make that as clear as I should have. Imagine if there was noone in his car, and no one else on the road. Think of it as a private drive, or something. His car is the only one on the road and there are no pedestrians. Thats the reference frame I was trying to establish.

How could he hurt someone else if he were in such a situtation?

Tax dollars are wasted on road repair if he damages the road or guard rail. Tax dollars are wasted when police car(s) and policemen and/or an ambulance is sent out to pick him up. Tax dollars are wasted when nurses and doctors take time to look at him (if he's dead, otherwise he pays for everything). The valuable time of the ambulance driver and paramedics and policemen (debatable) is wasted, along with the use of the ambulance. Tax dollars are wasted when a tow truck and/or truck is hired to take the car away. Parents/family pay for funeral.

Yes, it's wrong. I don't care if you get high, but as soon as you put other people's lives at risk because of your carelessness, you deserve to die.

I've seen it happen. As long as the officer articulates that the person failed all means of the field sobriety test and especially with a video tape of the impairment, it's a slam dunk.

Also, don't forget that there's DWI (driving while intoxicated) and DUI (driving under the influence). Notice the second one doesn't imply alchohol or any substance or state for that matter, only that there is some influence causing you to operate a 2000 pound piece of equipment without the full use of all your senses.

I'll put it simply, smoke if you want, but don't drive, period. There is very little in this world worth risking by getting in a car and driving when you're not fully capable. THC supplies some degree of impairment, whether you can control it or not, it does. If I had a dollar for everytime a drunk told me that he can handle himself/herself behind the wheel, I'd be one crooked cop (and somewhat rich too). It's simple really, don't do it.
