I increased the FSB to 220 and it was still stable. However, I was "hungry for more power" and I changed latency from 2.5 to 2.0 ( at default 200 Mhz my ram is 2-3-2-5) and after that the computer wouldn't boot. I cleared the CMOS, but something happened to BIos. The option where you get to changed the HTT Frequency is blank, and at a default it is set to 5x, so I can't oc!!
Did anyone faced such a problem? Can I fix it by updating the BIOS!?
Help!!!

Reset the CMOS to get back to stable default Bios. Next, read up on how to overclock the AMD64's. They are not the same as the XP's. You must user dividers on your memory or raise latencies. You must lower your HTT after about 215-220 to 4X or 3X after about 250-260 HTT. Of course, I would drop it to 4T immediately when overclocking since there is no performance difference. If you can't find a memory divider than you will need to try and get a Bios that has them, otherwise your ram will hold you back. If you increase your HTT with no divider, you will have to raise voltage on the memory and raise the latencies to 2.5 or 3-3-3-10 etc. to find your maximum cpu overclock.

Don't worry about changing ram timings on an AMD 64 cpu, it honest to god won't make a 1% difference. Stock are fine, if you can POST with lower, congrats. I was running my 512mb kingston stick at 2-2-2-5 with no problems, then I dropped in my 1GB Samsung stick, turned them up to 3-3-3-6 (Yeah yeah, not that big of a change, but it's stable) and I get almost the same performance. The sticker on it says 4-5-5-8, so I put it up there, no difference. Yes, I am rambling, but I have 9 minutes left of my shift and I'm very bored.

I'm afraid I am not understood. I do have some idea how to oc, the problem is that after I cleared the CMOS to default setting I can't lower the HTT!! Once I enter the menu where I should be able to change the HTT, the whole thing is blank and I can't even exit it and have to pres alt+ctrl+delete.... How can I fix it??

nevermind , i just fixed it. What I had to do was to eneble and then disable the dynamic overclocking in the BIos and the HTT menu became available again!!!
Now I am set at 220x9 (HTT 4x) 2.5-3-2-5 at stock cooling at boot it is 40C...seems like I might have got a jucy processor....😀😛

The socket in this mobo in my opinion is in a very unfortunate palce and it seems as nothing bigger than ADM stoc cooler can fit there...
