Is it worth it to shop in a store if it's near where you work?

Say the brick and mortar store is on the way home after you leave work. Assuming you're driving or maybe riding a bicycle. Is it worth the bother to park and walk to buy stuff or do you tend to just buy almost everything you need or want on the internet?

Depends what it is. If I need it immediately, I'll stop. If not, I tend to do internet.

Costco. Costco is near my work, and I stop in after work (7:30PM), and it's less crowded than in the daytime.

If I need to go to Target, I'll go after 10PM when there's no one to fight.

If it's cheaper or about the same on Amazon, and I don't need it now, then it comes from Amazon.

If it's an indie, that's my preference if the price delta isn't too ridiculous(and sometimes even if it is). If it's some kind of chain, I might pay a small premium for instant gratification, but it could go either way.
