Is it worth it to give up 6-2-2-2 memory timings for 256mb more mem?

Well see, I sorta have this extra 256mb module ddr266 infineon chips..........and the one in my computer right now is Kingston X-Memory PC3000...........i think the infineon chips are pc2100 or pc2700, but anyway on the kingston memory i can get 160mhz clock frequecy with 6-2-2-2 timings and that is the only module in my computer.......yes..meaning i only have 256mb. I figured i wuz gonna get more, but budget is tight right now. So if I use the infineon chips, they work at 160mhz, however my memory timings are now 7-3-3-2.5. So is it worth it to take the hit for games and stuff?

edit: they run in dual memory mode, so that might be beneficial as well.

Yes indeed....anymore opinions? Then wouldn't it be easier just to get 7-3-3-2.5 timing memory and sell the Kingston x-memory?

If you're going from 256MB to 512, then yes. If you've already got 512MB or more, probably not, though it depends how you use your computer.

The speed increase from the ram will be better then the timings.
