CitizenDoug I have had no trouble installing anything that Zalman has put out!!
Yes the screws do fit the nipples...you need to take your time and be gentle!!
Don`t blame Zalman for user end difficulties..
You just don`t go in like gangbusters to install the zalman...
Then the hardest part...
Taking your time and understanding what the word "torque" means!!
The tension did not strip the nipples...you did something wrong in the install..it was a user error NOT a Zalman error!!
I have talked with hundreds of Zalman users.......you are the only person who supposedly had issues....
Issues like you are having are very very rare.....
yet those issues it seems can be traced back to the person installing the zalman product!!
Have a good day!!! 🙂

Yeah maybe it was me maybe it wasn't. The fact is, if it were truly a high quality product I would not have been able to break it.
Anyways I bought three of them and the second one installed fine.. Still that first one should not have broke that easily and I have little condidence in these things now. I am just waiting for it to break lose and destoy that $400 cpu..
How do you expect us to believe what your telling me when the time line proves otherwise??
Also when you buy a quality piece of equipment you don`t go out and abuse it and then say its not any good!!
Quality has nothing to do with as you state--if it were truly a high quality product I would not have been able to break it.
Not true at all......especially when dealing with heatsinks and such that are made of copper and aluminum...you must be careful....
Just because you have to take your time and be careful doesn`t indicate its not a quality product........
Thats why before you install things like heatsinks and all you should always read the direction and then go over in your head how your going to install the thing.
Most of us were taught to never force a screw or a nut or even a bolt.....
we were taught to take out time and be gentle......
Have fun!!

Well I lied. It should have read, "should I bother taking out my motherboard and installing this damned cooler I bought a month ago."
I'm a liar. So sue me
Do you work for Zalman or something?
PS: It's 2:21 where I live.
