Is it worth getting tech certifications if you already have a degree?

So say you have a degree and no experience... is it worth getting CCNA/MCSE/Network+ certifications?

i would get it just to be officially certified.

Sure, it shows that you're experienced and know what you're doing.

Yes. However, certifications will only get your resume noticed. Experience always trumps certifications.

Even so, certifications will give you an edge over your competition, everything else being equal. For example, you'd have an edge over someone with a degree and no experience.
