Never used one of them, but I know alot of you guys have them. anyways, is it a big improvement from regular mouses? whats the difference?

I just ripped myself off by buying a basic logitech mouse for 20 dollars at circuit city :p, so im wondering if I should return it and buy a mx500 at zzf for $25

Thoughts?

thanks guys

EDIT: Now i know im returning the basic nouse, but what mouse should I get? the mx1000 for $40AR or mx500 for $25?

I have the mx500...and I really like it!

For one, I like the feel of it over logitech's standard mice. For another, it has back-forward buttons on the side which are convenient for web surfing & for gaming. There's also a button to bring up the alt-tab window (well, sort of...displays the same info but is formatted differently); I don't use that much but I have some friends who love it. And there's 2 buttons for scrolling if you don't like to roll the wheel.

Anyway, for $5 more, I'd go for it.

edit: Oh yeah--you really should go to the store and check it out...play w/the mice & see which you like best.

I got a mx518 and I love it. Favorite-est mouse ever.

edit: I'm not of fan of wireless, had 3 wireless mice and all of them were unreliable.

I have the MX510 and I absolutely love it. I personally think that the MX700 weighs too much for a mouse because of the batteries.

I prefer microsoft mice by a wide margin. They feel more solid and seem less buggy. But the optical logitech MX mice are better than standard mice by a wide margin too.

Oh yeah, theres that mx1000 deal, dang so many choices....

is it really worth the extra 15 dollars? all my life I have never justified getting a mouse over 20 bucks.

wireless isn't too important for me, so what are its advantages over the mx500

the laser mouse is extremely accurate, and with it being wireless, no messy wires all over your desk
