is it true that Nero 5.0.3.1has a new anti piracy scheme

you know me, I never pirate and I ask this question only out of curiosity

anyway, I heard that the v5.0.3.1 connects to the internet to check if the serial number is valid...is this true?

Not true; if it had tried to connect to the Internet for me, then ZoneAlarm would have spanked it on the hand And ZoneAlarm hasn't done that yet.

I occasionaly use a packet sniffer to see what naughty programs might be trying to do (when ZoneAlarm alerts me to the fact that a program is being naughty), and Nero has not tried to "phone home". If it does, that's a quick punt and it's outta here from my computer.
