is it true about no matter how good ur "OCable" "processor" is it all depends on the motherboard?

Not necessarily. Most problems that aren't with the processor when overclocking are either with the RAM or PCI/AGP speed. That's why it's best to keep the bus speed the same and only change the ratio. Changing the bus speed mainly affects the RAM but can also affect PCI and AGP speed too.

Hard drives, floppy drives, CD-ROMs, etc. aren't affected by overclocking, even when changing the bus speed.

For Intel systems:
Its usually other components like the PCI and AGP cards as well as RAM that limit OCing. This is because the multiplier is locked so you must OC by upping the FSB speed, which makes all the other components run above spec.

For AMD systems:
The limit is usually the CPU (and also the mobo and HSF). For these CPUs (Duron/TBird) the multiplier is unlocked, so most of the OCing is done on the CPU itself, with all the other components running at the same spec. The mobo comes in because it supplies the voltage, and the HSF comes in because a hot CPU is not a happy one.

About the AGP speed:
Its determined by dividing your FSB speed. So if you up the FSB speed, the AGP speed will also increase a fraction.

HDD's are. Thats why you get data corruption at way out of spec bus speeds.

Mike,

Not many hard-drives will handle a PCI bus speed of 41. For instance most Maxtor's (I see you have one) crap out when the PCI bus reaches 37. IBMs usually dance a little higher.
