I recall watching that on some show... they had a time-line as well as clips from Leno and Letterman when each of them first had a joke about it.

edit: their jokes weren't directed towards the victims of 9/11 (the way Diana and JFK jokes after their respective tragedies occurred were directed toward the individuals), but rather the jokes were Taliban or Osama jokes.

I don't think he has a clue what happened...
At the beach, when a big wave is about to crash on you, you just dive into it, under water - no problem. You just pop back up to the surface.

He doesn't understand that with the ocean waves, not much water is actually being transported. With the tsunamis, though, that water that you're diving into suddenly became 20 feet deep, and moved inland as much as a few miles, which would pummel the "duck divers" into any remaining trees/structures along the way.
