Is it time for me to move up to a PDA?

My girlfriend bought me a Samsung cell phone which has a scheduler feature I'm using more and more. However, I'm finding I'm using it more and more instead of my pc to notify me of scheduled events and now to store passwords. Note, I don't explicitly state what the passwords are to.

I'm thinking that maybe a PDA would have an easier interface with more keys. Are these things still crazy expensive? Also, my girlfriend now has us in a 2 year contract with Sprint so I could get a pda without a phone and carry the two. :p

Anyway, I've never researched pdas so I'm looking for a shortcut here at AT.

Carrying 2 is pain IMHO. BTW - Once you get used to something like Treo, it is hard to go back. You can reply to boss emails while sitting on the beach. Only wish they make them thinner.

Agreed. I wish you could have more flexible sharing of accounts, because I hate carrying my brick of a Treo around on the weekend. I'd buy a razr or something small if I could use it with my normal account.

But I'm too addicted to the scheduler and quick web browser access to go back to a normal phone, and it's still better than having to carry an even bigger PDA in addition to a phone.

Go for the Treo. It's still the best multi-function device by far. The Apple iPhone will make a strong run at the non-corporate Treo user, so maybe that's something to wait for (assuming you can stomach a $500 price tag).

You're on Sprint? Treo 700wx ftw. I have a 650 and I like PalmOS, but it's just so old and although it's easier to use than WM (especially the one handedness of it), I think the functionality of WM worth it.

If you want a PalmOS PDA-Phone, get Sprint's new Treo 755P. If you want a Windows Mobile PDA-Phone, go with Cingular's Treo 750 or Sprint's Treo 700WX or Verizon's Treo 700WX. Verizon's 700WX has working A2DP.
