There were mistakes made in the middle east, from way back when we deposed the Shah of Iran, and I am sure many more.

But we learn with each of those mistakes, we learn from history, rather than relying on thousand year old books.

We are a changing dynamic, but one that should always be looking to the freedom of the individual. We were founded on the principle of freedom, and so far, we have mainly been free.

Government unfettered, is starting to change this, and we are no longer as free as we once were.

But, since it is Government, we can still strive to change this, and fight (again) for freedom.

If people weren't being such sleazy assholes, maybe we wouldn't need as much government.

The only way sleazy assholes can effect me, is if they are Government mandated or supported.

I'm perfectly able to avoid or challenge sleazy assholes on their own.

Get rid of excess Government? Get rid of sleazy assholes.

An acceleration of the Jewish repatriation to Israel would crowd the country, negatively affect the economy and the standard of living. It would also unavoidably lead to more disputes over the so-called "occupied territories", more grief over the extension of Jewish settlements into Palestine and so on. Israel is already surrounded by bloodthirsty neighbours, who would love nothing more than to be able to point at the Israeli people and yell "Expansionists!", along with other less savory words...
so says you....

There is an inhospitable environment forming here. Worse than it already has been. Paying attention to the going's on at Colleges across the nation? There's selective tolerance being taught in our institutions of progressive learning. Hell, Obama is being accused right now of attempts to undermine the elections in Israel.

So spell it out. Do you think there's significant growing anti-Jewish sentiment in this country? Or is it anti-Zionist sentiment?

There is a not so subtle difference.

I suspect that a lot of anti Jewish sentiment in Europe stems from the way that the Jewish State conducts itself on the world stage while claiming to speak for all Jews.

There's an inhospitable environment forming here IFF you're an observant Jew who supports Israel. Any Jew can forgo services and denounce Israel and be a hero on college campi, the toast of little skulls full of mush.
