kinda some funny history is that when they changed the name from Indians because of protests they polled the students and they chose "robber barrons" to mock leland stanford and his railroad monopoly out west

f*ck that.. Cal will return to greatness in basketball soon... like back in the day when j. kidd or kevin johnson played there...

and I think they have a new tree mascot every year (I think whoever is the mascot designs their own ugly ass tree).
