Do YOU want to be the one to try to explain to their kid why it only has one Grandpa and Grandma?

Wouldn't he/she have 4 grandmas and 4 grandpas?

depends on how long she has been your step sister, if from childhood imo it would be like f*cking your sister, but if only for a short then who cares, bang away :D

I was once knew a guy that married his step sister. :Q They were from West Virginia.

I know a guy who is married to his step-sister, but their parents were not yet married when they met. The parents actually met each other through the kids. Weird stuff.
I know 2 brothers who married (non-identical) twins. Talk about weird.

As far as the OP, I'd say it's certainly not incest, but why would you want to put yourself in such a weird situation?

No, these two met by becoming step bother & sister, than the relationship started. :Q

So how do you sort out the whole bride's family on one side, the groom's on the other during the ceremony?

If you married your step-sister AND if your parents have a new kid, his brother would also be his brother-in-law, and his sister would also be his sister-in-law.

Just thought I'd share.

Everyone seems to be thinking of this in a young age frame. What if the parents getting married are over 50 and new kids aren't involved?

If there is a sister or a 'mrs.' or 'brother' in the title of the person, stay AWAY! I can't believe you would consider being with a step sister, thats bloody nasty.

It's only a cultural taboo. There is no genetic reason why you can't sling some yogurt..

It's not taboo if you don't consider each other siblings or plan to do so.
On the other hand, it is probably a very bad idea. What if everyone finds out about it? Would you be comfortable with that?

Hmm, it is debatable I suppose, but if you get the clan together for introductions, the estranged spouses would be out of the picture, when the boy points to his "parents" and says "this is your gmom and gpop" and then the girl does the EXACT same thing, there are only two peeps standing there.

I don't see what the big deal is. Its no weirder than if your grandpa had a son, 30 years after he had you, and you had to call the baby an uncle. Yikes!
