West Virginia explains that easily. Personally I'd find it a little taboo, how awkward would family gatherings be.. wait I thought you were brother and sister.. oh no we are step brother and sister. If I was in the situation I don't think I would marry but, some random action can't hurt.
 
Geez, I hope not...well, in my case, it'd be ok, since we had "relations" BEFORE my dad married her mom...but anyway, since there's no blood ties, go ahead. While you may be "sort-of" brother/sister, it's nothing evil, wrong, kinky or perverted...Hit it like ya mean it...
