i always reply, that yes it is still avaliable, and give them a phone number to contact me.
they never do.

what i feel like saying is that im an asshole for selling on craigslist.and you are likely an asshole for contact me about said item.
but im an asshole that will reply whereas they are assholes that wont.

This is why I HATE Craigslist. Glad to see it's not just me getting these people who ask about something knowing the price, are told it's still available, yet never follow-up. Pussies.

Gee, now I feel bad. I replied like that to one yesterday, and I would have gladly paid $100 more than the asking price for the item. My wife checked her email from her blackberry about every 30 minutes, hoping for a response. When the CL guy finally responded, it was with a "sorry, it's been sold." Oh well.
