I have to ration my time. Since I got a Blu-ray player, I have decided to use what little time I have to watch shows that are not only good ... but look incredible as well. We watched Ratatouille last weekend (never got time to see it in the theater) and on Blu-Ray it was INCREDIBLE !!! Lost Season 3 is supposed to be spectacular. Here is what a reviewer had to say:
"Perfect. Stunning. Amazing. Those are just a few of the words to describe the video quality of this 'Lost' Blu-ray set. The 1080p/AVC MPEG-4 transfers exhibit a breathtaking clarity and detail far beyond anything possible on standard DVD, and even significantly superior to the show's 720p broadcasts on the ABC network. Presented in the 16:9 aspect ratio of the episodes' original HD airings, the image is extraordinarily sharp, with no distracting edge enhancement or digital compression artifacts. Every blade of grass on the island, every stubble in Jack's beard, each one of Kate's freckles, and all the skin pores of every actor are visible in striking detail, even in medium and long shots. Colors are vibrant and bold. The contrast range is crisply delineated from inky blacks to bright whites, with an exceptional sense of depth in every scene."
SJWASTE, per his post, had no issues catching up ... so I might have to do that. If I start from Season 1 ... I will get to Season 3 in 2010 but then they might change the name to LOST&FOUND.
That's dumb. I don't disagree with you that the quality is superb, but what's the point of watching something superb if you don't understand the storyline. That's like saying that Gigli is an awesome movie because it looks good on bluray
Perhaps you skipped reading my post ... I said "watch shows that are not only good ... but look incredible as well" ... its well acknowledged that this is a great series. And its acknowledged that Season 1 and 2 were great as well. But sometimes in life, one has to cut corners ... and pick and choose.
Anyways ... back to work for me. Later.
I didn't skip anything. Perhaps you skipped the part where I said "if you don't understand the storyline". Since you're looking for a good show, how can a show be good if you skip the first two seasons? I understand a sitcom or any other comedy you can, but this is a show based on drama that has a plot so missing a huge portion of the show doesn't make any sense.
