I had a pair of AA batteries explode one time when I was playing GameBoy for hours on end, scared the hell out of me. It got battery acid all over the inside of the battery compartment. We cleaned it out and sprinkled baking soda on it, put in some new batteries, and started playing again.

Well if these are regular flashlight battries I would see no problem because a Company that I worked for charged them all the time, hundreds a day without a p;roblem for years.
