Is it safe to run wires directly behind mobo?

Hi,

This is my first build, and I'm working on wire management.

I was wondering if it was safe to run wires directly behind the motherboard. I don't mean behind the motherboard tray, but directly behind the mobo. I was going to run a wire or two like that, but wasn't sure if it would be safe. Especially after I realized the wire was touching both the the back of the motherboard, and also the mobo tray.

Will wires touching the back of the actual mobo do any damage?

i dont see why they would as long as they arent bare.

you could even wrap them in flex/split tubing if your really worried.

Not if they are insulated, but if they were to get punctured that would be bad (lots of sharp points on the back of mb!) As far as interference, I have no idea.

Good point about the board being kinda sharp. The wires are insulated, and its not too snug, but it is definitely touching the board. I'm not sure if it could still cause any interference even with the wires insulated. If no one can say for sure, it may be best to wrap them, or not hide them there I think.

Thanks for your responses.
