I am thinking about buying a Invicta watch from Amazon.com for around $250. Is Amazon.com a safe place to get watches from?

Thanks for any advice.

The retail is like $400 or so, I think.

Thanks for the advice, I feel more confident now.

Hmm... Didn't we have a thread similar to this where everyone started chiming in with questions like "is it safe to buy gas from that shell station across the street" and "is the gum in my local supermarket safe to buy?"

I prefer Ashfords.com for invicta watches . Amazon is a fine company/try to price shop your watch.

Yup, as I recall, it was the African American avatar and like 3 posts. Deja vu?

If you buy from amazon themselves or an affiliated vendor (Target/etc) you'll be fine.

There is the half.com like component of Amazon.com where you could be screwed though, I'm not sure how they police their auctions there. Those are the results you get when you click on the "41 new and used from $2.99" links.
