Is it safe to buy from monoprice, now?

I just got a smart phone (HD2, woot!) that uses a micro-usb plug for power & data transfer. I want to get a couple of extra cables for work and assorted computers, but am hesitant to go through monoprice because of their recent issue.

Do you guys think it's safe?

I placed an order on the day that this supposed breach was found. No problems. It is safe (in my opinion). Nice redesign of their website too.

Yeah, I went ahead and did that, since you logon through paypal and the merchant doesn't see any of your info.

I ordered from them a week ago, no problems. Of course, I used a one-time use credit card number.

Its the CA attorney general office. If they get enough they will look into Monoprice and force them to conform to SB20, its the CA notification law


And if you order from MP use Google checkout.
