I have asked my boss 3 times for a copy of our price manual (197 pages), they are put out by corporate but he has to order them. It has been two weeks and still no word, so he emailed me the .pdf file and I printed it out at work. He saw me doing this and said "you need to put that on a disk and bring it to Kinko's". WTF@#@#@#?? Kinkos?, it is company material that should have been provided to me in the first place so now you want me to go to Kinkos and pay for it out of pocket?

Do you really need a hardcopy of all the pages? It's much easier to search a PDF file.

Just say, "Sure that's fine. What's our Kinkos account number?" or ask him for the corporate credit card.

Anyway, if printing something that big, you should do it over the course of a day or two. Just print 5-10 pages every so often throughout the day and piece them together back at your desk. That way no one will usually get suspicious.

What's the big deal about 197 pages.... that's $4 in printing.... probably less than you make during the morning coffee break, your boss is a whiner :p

Depends. Laser printer: $4. Price manual in color on inkjet: $200. Of course, SethK28 is probably intelligent enough not to use an inkjet for this task. But some people aren't. I say the boss is wrong here if you used a laser. Why pay you for your time plus pay Kinko's for the printing?

I hate bosses like this. If he had ordered the manual in the first place, which by the way probably would have been alot cheeper, you wouldn't have had the discussion. Your boss is a dumbass!

Yeah of course it was a laser, funny thing is I printed 197 of the pages but had to reprint 6, he told me that I needed to put it on a disk AFTER I had already printed...lol
