Is it right to ban a nef to make it more obedient?

This is what happened to me today. A 12 year old nef got his thread locked a few weeks ago. I went into the thread and locked it myself. It has been so much more obedient since its vacation is over. It doesn't even try to by funny anymore! Talk about discipline! Hah!

What I found is that it is much easier to teach it when it is banned. this is when I like about Machiavelli

it only worked for a little while, i got a week vacation, but now i'm back! though i was catious for the first days when i was reinstated

Machiavelli promoted ends-justifies-the-means morality and fear over emotion. You both used it equally correctly.

but you can't make people fear you by banning them. instead of fear, it is pissed off.

Not a permanent ban, you. They just have something lke a 'vacation' . . . and for most people here, I'd wager it's a 'vacation' back to work in their office/cubicle . . . kinda ironic, if you think about it.
