I used to think like that about Communicatiosn as a major too, but the more I get into business, the more I see how valuable it is. I've also seen some very kickass workers come from Communications degrees. The thing is, you have to be sure that they chose Communications because they were interested in it and found the subject fascinating. Those sorts will be amazing workers.
