Is it really that rare for a HS student to wake up at 4:30?

thats what i want to know. the only reason i ever got up that early was for baseball practice before school.

other than that, i got there 5 minutes before class every day. what is the point of being at high school in the morning? there is nothing to do.

I always hung out with friends before class. You did have friends, right? 😉

Me and my friends valued sleep over hanging out at 6:30 in the morning. Maybe my friends are just fvcked up

You'll have time enough to sleep when you're dead.

Ever since the begining of this year, I've started going to bed at 12 and I wake up at 4:30 pretty much on the dot. Is is that weird for a HS student to wake up that early for no reason?

Yes, usually a sign of severe depression or anxiety. Right around that times sertonin levels are at extremes in their cycle. Let me guess - you're hot or sweaty and your mind is racing?

textbook. Talk to your psychiatrist/doctor.

wtf

🙂 i had a ton of friends, but i didnt have anything to say to them in the morning that couldnt wait until class or lunch. plus, why get up earlier and miss sleep just to go do real life AIM before school in the morning? 😕

Huh.

4:00 is kinda the magic time for serotonin production. It is at its lowest during deep REM sleep. Severely low and it causes one to wake from even deep sleep (fight or flight). The cause for such a strong drop is normally major depression, bipolar or anxiety. That kinda stuff really is pretty textbook.

I'm the only one on the whole board who gets up after 8 it seems. 8:45 here. I wouldn't get up until 12 if I had the choice...

Getting up early blows...

I get up around 9, but it's college so I have that luxury.

It depends on when your school starts, when it gets out, when you sleep, and what you DO at 4:30

Personally, I love it around that time, but it's impossiblef or me to get up then. 7:00 to 7:15 are my wake up times, preferably 1 am.

School starts @ 7:30. I get there about 6:30 and leave at about 6:20 to get there.

What do you do for an hour at a highschool in the morning?

Haha, to copy hw. Common sense..

Yeah, we have orgys in the band hall. What the hell do you think I do? Talk with friends and on occasion study.

Umm, no. I'm actually quite chilled out.

i used to get up at 5AM without an alarm clock during high school. Sophomore and junior year I had class at 7, so 5AM wasn't too abnormal, but i just got used ot it in the end. I have 6 people in my family, so getting up so early was the only real peace and quiet I got
