Im having a debate with a friend right now about keeping a resume to one page. I've always thought that a 1 page resume would give an advantage over a 2 page resume, because its shorter, more concise, and more to the point. Is this the general concensus amongst everyone? or am I out on a limb here

I kinda agree with this. It really depends on how many different jobs and things you have done. I have 4 years and I find it hard to fit all of my work exp and other stuff into one page.

Punchy! Succinct! Active verbs! Lists! Bullets! White space! Yes!

Anything that doesn't fit, you can include in a short narrative.

eliminate the fluff and focus on 1/2 sentences of accomplishments.

Opening statement "Skilled professional in XXX with strong focus on XXX industry. Proven track record of leading and forming leading XXX in management and directoryship capacity" (tailored to job)

Then go on to prove it.

meh, you're opening is everything in my mind. It should pinpoint in a few sentences, who you are, the level you want and what you are capable of. They can read on to see the proof of those capabilites and decision making responsibilties.

-edit- damn my grammar sucks at 9:30. ;)
