Is it possible with AIM to warn some anonymously without sending or receiving a message first?

I only see the WARN icon if a message has gone thru. Someone keeps warning me anonymously and i have no clue how they are doing it.
 
Don't think so, but not sure. Maybe you talked to the person earlier, and they kept the window open?

bingo 🙂 but i think there might be a time limit.. not sure.. just warn em after they log off 😉

I don't think that works... I think AIM is set up to not allow you to warn the person before you send them an IM - as soon as you close the IM window from that person on your computer, AIM begins to assume that you haven't sent the person an IM yet.
