Take a cassette tape, take out all of the tape and stick it into an empty VHS container and strap it all up again. Then play it in a VCR? Would it play just audio? What would happen?

I don't think the tape from audio cassettes is wide enough  it'd get tangled or something

also, it'd be pretty easy to simply record the data onto a video tape.

The naysayers are basing their comments on fear, fear of the unknown. Go ahead and try it and report back your findings. This is how we progress! Onward to glory!

Huh...It's like using a phillip head screw driver on a flat head screw. WeIrd

Or using a flat head screw driver on a philip head screw ;)

Doesn't it work?

Which is goku's point.

Sometimes it works better -- on an almost stripped phillips head sometimes its easier to take it out/put it in using a flathead - it doesn't try to climb out as much as a phillips does.

Can you take an 8-track tape, slice it down the middle, wind it onto a cassette and play it in a regular cassette deck? If you give it a half twist before winding could you make it a continuous play mobius strip?
