Is it possible to stealth a floppy drive?

I'm going to stealth 2 of my cd-rom/cd-rw drives. My case is silver and the drives including floppy is beige/white.

I wanted to know if anyone can post a link or tell me how to stealth a floppy drive.

I don't think it would be too hard to fabricate some kind of "flip down" drive cover. Being that you can't cover the slot with an immobile plate, ala a CD Drive, a flip down is really your only choice, AFAIK.

it takes quite a bit of force to depress the floppy button for ejection since it's mechanical not pure electric, tranditional methods wont work, since the cd-rom button is a momentary switch.

you're still using a floppy drive?

Instead of stealthing it, you should just replace the beige cover with your own custom cover. Take a dremel and cut out a slot in the 3.5 drive cover and a hole for the button (that maybe difficult considering it's really small). Then just place it over the floppy drive with some double stick tape... that should work.

Some cases come with a slot with a chrome pushbutton to mount your existing floppy to... The Amamax case that was $17 for a while has this.

I did a really good stealth for my floppy drive. It's stealth so well that even sherlock holmes couldn't find it (unless he went to the garbage dump). Get a usb flash drive if you need something to replace your floppy, they're dirt cheap.
