Theres been a sweet monster truck in the parking lot of my work for like 2 weeks now
that was obviously abandoned ... it not even parked in a space, it's been left
in the middle of a drive lane.

Anyways, no one has came to get it and it hasn't been towed or anything.

Is it possible to claim it under squaters rights?

No. Generally you can have it towed and the tow company files abandonment or you can run a title search send the appropriate documents, file in court, and get the title.

Depends on the state.

I'm sure you couldn't resist the temptation to run over all the cars in the parking lot. :D

...or a family living in it?

Maybe with all the ground clearance, nobody's bothered to climb up and peer in

It's probably been stolen and abandoned. Just call the police.

I doubt you have any "squatter's rights" to an automobile in this case. Sorry. :)

Yep totally. Hop on craigslist and buy the same truck in sh!t condition for like $50. You can guess the rest. I mean, no of course not. Call the police and have it towed.
