Is it possible to sell prepaid cell acct?

Our whole family just bit the bullet and we all have unlimited voice/data plans. This was not planned, so we also have 3 T-mobile prepaid plans with about $100 balance in each of them, and no reason to use any of them ourselves. Is it practical to sell somebody my sim with the associated prepaid balance? If not sell how about donating to some good cause?

We will be keeping one of the phones my wife likes for a music player, but the others I will just clear and put on ebay or Craigslist.

Did you port out your numbers to the unlimited plans? Because if you did, then those prepaid lines are closed and the balance gone. Where do you have your unlimited plans now? If it's with T-Mobile, they might agree to move the balance over to the new lines. AT&T does that, or at least it used to do that. If you converted your lines from prepaid to postpaid, your balance transfers over so you can pay your monthly fee from the balance for the first month or two (depending on the balance amount and the monthly fee, of course).

If you didn't, then it may be worth something to some people, especially if the balance is significant.

We got new numbers, and T-mobile company store talked to manager etc no way to transfer balances, so our old phones are sitting on chargers unused with about $70/$100/$120 left in legacy 10 cent a minute/text 365 day rollover with as little as $10 refill. All the numbers are in (714) OC SoCal, and would be perfect for somebody that is a very low minute voice/text user. One line needs refill to rollover in June, other two are Dec., so I have like a month to decide unless I want to pop the $10 and roll that account over. If I can do something with them I should be able to do it by then though.

Feels like this is "not" a good online transaction, needs to be face to face with trusted people, unless I donate to some charity or something of that sort.
