Is it possible to restore registry keys (or registry stuff..) without reinstalling windows?

I think I got some kind of trojan thing that deleted my register key in

HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Telephony\Cards

The whole folder is gone...Is there anyway to restore it?

I'm less savvy with registry editing than so many here, but I sometimes use a nice little freeware called RegScrubXP, which you can find at http://www.lexundesigns.com/LexunFreeware/index.htm . Along with it's other features, you'll find two command scripts in it's directory that will instantly create backup registries that can be easily restored by clicking upon them.

Sorry if this doesn't help you with the current problem, but it may be something you'd be interested in for future use.

What OS? If it's Win9x (including Millenium) you can run "scanreg /restore" from the command prompt. Millenium and XP also have System Restore. For any of those you'll have to know when things were last working right.
