My mom was using my laptop with Windows 7 to type a Word document, she hovered over the program in the taskbar and saw the window preview, not knowing what this was she clicked the X to close it, Word didn't prompt to save before closing (I guess some unpolished thing with the Win 7 beta) so now she's pissed she lost her document.

I already looked in the autorecovery folder and found nothing, anyone has an idea how to recover it?

Check the temp folders and see if Word autosaved it. It may not be the whole document but I've recovered some docs that way.

Found a recent copy of the document, though it was in an odd folder, thanks for your help.
