laptop + power inverter +usb gps antenna u put on your dash + software. its all for sale. i have an older one that uses serial which is kinda ghetto but it works. very neat for when i'm going where i've never been before, can't get lost. ability to plot alternative routes on the run is nice.

I'm guessing you're gonna need some sort of aftermarker enclosure for it... unless it was one of those flipups from your dash but i'm sure its possible.

They have this for the NSX... looks damn nice too. :D

Almost all car stereo companies that manufacture head units with a large flip out screen (for dvd playback) has a GPS option. Be prepared to pay mucho bucks though. last I checked, Alpine's GPS/DVD unit + Multimedia head unit will cost you at least $2.5k.

I have a Philips GPS that's about 4 years old and worked pretty good, but I need to replace the antenna and the model is long since discontinued. :(

maybe you can just install the ones that the TL comes with now... i have no idea if the interior is different from the slightly redesigned TLs... i'm sure it'll cost more than an aftermarket GPS system but it'll have the factory look and won't be such a thief magnet.

Maybe you can check with other TL owners... link... nice car BTW... :D

After market in dash GPS systems will cost you more than $1,000. I bought a Garmin Street Pilot 3 Deluxe and it ran me $750. Didn't like it and ebayed it. Got a GPS system for my Dell Axim which is more or less the same thing (except for the stupid annoyance of having to select maps to load each time). The best system I've used is the one Hertz car rental uses. I've seen it sold on ebay but it is very expensive.

It can be done. The full deal with a DVD drive that mounts under a seat and a touchscreen will run you a couple thousand. I saw some at Crutchfield that don't have full-color maps, just a 2-color LCD and it gives you arrows and directions. But even that was like $600 and it replaces your existing head unit, which I think sucks unless it's a GOOD head unit, but I'm doubtful.
