i don't think i've ever seen one that hasn't degenerated into a bunch of people saying;

"pay the fine and get over it"
"take some responsibility"
"the OP is a whinging asshat"

and like sentiments....

(Just a quiet obervation by an Australian who has no business commenting on the affairs of Yanks and should just stfu and get over himself ;))

No, because you got in trouble for breaking the law. What do you expect?

well most of the time the case is pointless to argue

"omg i got radar'd going 75 in a 55 how do i get out of this ticket"
or
"i ran a red light and now i have to pay $125 is there any way to waive the fee"
or
"my motorcycle was going 205 in a 65 and my daddy is the sherriff, do you think i could get out of this ticket?"

that's why we are so angry at these people, they try to find some easy way out instead of facing up to the responsability of what they have done to themselves

i dont feel sorry for them at all. i've gotten 2 speeding tickets, 41 in a 25 and 75 in a 55, both were my fault. i payed for both of them, got on court supervision for both of them and am now able to say that technically my record is clean. OWN UP to your own mistakes

we all know everyone speeds... it's a simple fact that IF you're caught, you own up to it... we're not trying to be better-than-yous...

I think you can. I believe I posted a speeding ticket thread awhile back and flames were minimal. Pre-emptive strikes take the fun out of posts.

ie: "Yeah yeah, I was speeding, your 'pay the fine' comments won't bother me, here's the situation."

Same thing with YAGTs if you say "no pics" in the original post, you minimize requests for it.

Sure there is.

Admit guilt.

Don't whine.

Take responsibility.

Do that and no one will jump all over you.

The threads are usually dumb and every post could be reviewed if the OP did a 10 second search.

Typically everyone who flames the OP is a complete hypocrite.
