Is it possible to mod a business phone for home use?

I received a comdial business phone
(The 12 line model)
and it obviously did not work on my home lines... Is it possible to make it work at home??

I really don't think so because you have to have a central phone system installed to use it.

I think a "business phone" is typically a part of a digital telephone system, whereas a "home phone" is good ole analog

kinda like asking if you can mod a CD player to play LP's (that's vinyl records for you young folks)
