Is it possible to make blurry picture clear and crisp?

Hello,

I need some help! I saw this picture at a website and would like to make a poster out of it. The sad part being that it is blurry and not clear. I tried modifying it in Ifranview viewer but that did not help.

So, is there any way i can make this pic clear and crisp so that i can make a big 5 feet poster out of it.

Please try and help me out. I just love this image and want to post it in my room.

Regards,
Danz.

P.S - here's the pic boeing 777

Thanks Jumpr,

But there is a reason why i need only that image (which i have mentioned). I have seen many other images at various sites but i don't need them.

Can you help to make that pic clear and crisp.............or anyone else.

Is it possible?

Thanks.

No you can't. The information just isn't in the picture. If you have a grainy picture, that's all the resolution that you're going to get, since that's all the information that's contained in the picture.

You need to find a better picture, taken at high resolution. And remember that posters need very high resolution - I would consider 14 Megapixels the absolute bare minimum for getting a sharp picture when printed at 60" x 40". Optimal resolution would be close to 80 Megapixels.

Of course, you can use a lower resolution, but your poster will be blurred and pixellated - if you're not going to get up close - then this may be fine.

There generally isn't any way to restore information from a small blurry photo. There are tools to 'sharpen' pictures but they work by enhancing noise - which will make distortion from JPEG conversions stand out.

People also ask if they can take a low-res screen capture from TV and blow it up to your monitor's screen size and have it be clear. No, you can't. The info just isn't there.

Ive seen that first Pic you posted in an awesome poster you can get free from beoing/arilines...call up and ask them...its pretty big too..

Would emailing Boeing for a much bigger and better picture be a good idea?

Do you think they would help me out if i told them i wanted to make a poster out of the image and stick it in my room? Or copyrights issue would creep in?

And thanks for all the help.

Danz

That's real nice - a poster for just $4 but again there's the sad part.

The shipping to my country costs $29.50. Oooops!!!!!!!

So that's $4 + $29.50 = $33.50

$33.50 for a poster is a hell lot.

Don't you think????

So any other suggestions????

Thanks once again.

Call and/or email them telling them you are doing a high school avionics report on them and that specific plane and its innovative design. You need visuals, and they are your only hope.

You'll need an FBI computer from a modern-day techno-thriller, and you'll be good to go. Remember, they can take a postage-stamp-sized picture of the back of someone's head, and turn it into an A4-sized glossy photo of their head and shoulders.
