I just ordered a copy of Windows Vista to install on my PC. What will I need to do to make a backup copy of the Installation DVD? Thanks

Just copy it to another DVD I would assume. I doubt it has any kind of security that would prevent this.

There should be... the EULA states that one backup copy is allowed. It would be pretty dumb (even for MS) to put some sort of protection after allowing that.

Considering that they have gone the route of requiring activation and protect the license keys, it would really be moot at this point.

And yes, you can simply do a "disk copy" from Roxio/Sonic or Nero. Ive done it several times now and not had a single issue with using any of them.

Well, EA and Atari sure do love those CD checks even though the software goes online when you play it to check for duplicate CD keys.
