is it possible to get rid of the recycle bin from my desktop?

i have no icons on my desktop, except for the recycle bin....its so tacky!

anything i can do?

you can do it in windows xp, in your "local group policy" settings

I just tried it and it doesn't work for me.

Co-worker did it to his comp tho and it worked. I'll look into it some more..

if you're running xp

right click the desktop, click "arrange icons by" and then deselect "show desktop icons". It'll hide all the icons, including the recycle bin.
