how much do you make anyway

for 14K it really doesnt seem like it would be worth it to me

I just graduated with a BSEE and got a job for 54K which is respectable IMO and it would certainly be advantageous if my employer
offered me 14K to get a P.E. but that is only since i already haven taken everything and feel very confident that i could pass it

if you are already making $100K then the 14K really wouldnt be worth it for you since you are already making good pay
and if you are making a lot less than that than an engineering degree would certainly give you more money
than your job + P.E. title

I am an EE Technician and make more money than any of the EE that I work with and know. I have my AS and 10 years as an ET in the military. Beeing and Engineer is not all it is cracked up to be. An EET in the Semiconductor industry is where it is at. Engineers work long hours and do not get paid extra (OT).

BTW I am 10 credits shy of my EE degree and I will still be working the same job. It will be used if the event of another downturn in the economy.

I'm and engineering tech too. Even if I move up the next step in my job classification (which I don't want to do because I will have to lose my window seat) the top PE will still make almost $3k more than me!
