Is it possible to extend the range of my Wireless LAN by adding another wireless router?

Signal strength isn't quite strong at the other end of the house. I have an extra wireless router(DLink DI-713P) lying around and was wondering if it's possible to improve/extend the signal by using it in with my current router? If so, how? I'm using a DLink DI-614+ and the signal is usually very low at that area and virtually nonexistent when there's people constantly walking around the house.

Not really looking to buy another piece of hardware, but if this extra router can't do the job then I guess I will have to buy a bridge.

Thanks

If you cable to it. AP/Router combo's won't repeat. None that I know of anyway. You wouldn't want to bridge, unless your saying you have a wired PC somewhere you want to put on your network but don't want to run cat5 to it.

I have the DLink DI614+ in my room and it is wired to my computer. My sister's room is at the other end of the house and I have her laptop connected to the DI614+ via a wireless PC card. The signal is low for her and I want to put my extra wireless router(DI713P) somewhere between her room and my room so the signal can improve. But I don't know if that is technically possible? I absolutely do not want to run any other wire through the house at this point. The distance between the two rooms is roughly 75ft and not that many walls between the rooms.

JackMDS, that guide requires a network cable to be connected between the two routers. I am looking for a way to use the extra wireless router(DI713P) to function as an access point/switch without running any cable to it aside from the power cable. I guess it's not possible?

-Thanks for the replies.

Unfortunately two Wireless Routers can not talk one to the other.

More here: Wireless Network - Configuration Modes.

However, depending on your envioroment, could be that a relatively short cable, just to take the second Router out of a Room into the hallway or out of the basement etc, can do it.
